Merry Christmas everyone! Bella had a good Christmas and she was feeling OK, enough to get up and open presents and play with some. Santa came to see her Christmas Eve and when he walked in she was in total shock. Not a smile or anything, she just stared at him and when he left, she lite up like a Christmas tree saying "Santa! Santa!" It was really great to see.
The last few days she has had really nasty bowel movements which has caused horrible diaper rash and now  has mucositis which is sores that travels from the mouth, down the GI system to the anus right now she just has pain in her mouth and throat. Last night we had to put her on some narcotics to help her deal with the pain and today we decided that a drip is what is necessary to keep her comfortable. Now she has sprung a fever and we are doing labs to make sure that she is not getting anything bacterial, viral, or fungal. Please pray that she starts to engraft so that her ANC will go up. We need her ANC back up to 500 ASAP.
